A true citizen of the world, Fabrizio was raised between the sun-drenched streets of Italy, the rolling hills of Ireland and the hustle and bustle of the United States, where he honed his storytelling skills at the American Film Institute Conservatory (AFI).
He strives to use his cross-cultural perspective and sensibility to tell socially relevant stories that explore marginalized characters dealing with personal identity as well as the cultural clashes and discoveries that result from the intersection of different cultures.
All this has led him to develop ‘glocal’ stories with some of the leading production companies in the international TV landscape (e.g., Fremantle’s The Apartment and Erik Barmack’s Wild Sheep). Most recently, a short film he wrote and produced premiered at the 69th edition of the Taormina Film Fest in Italy and the 19th edition of the Oscar-qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival in Los Angeles. He also produced the CNN mini documentary “Through My Eyes” (2023) for CNN about plastic pollution in our water and thrived in a multicultural writers’ room with British writer Tony Grisoni for the first-ever all-European TV series, now in development with Under Ski Tower.
Among all his achievements, Fabrizio’s proudest moments are still having his short film Solitary – a thought-provoking look at a man in solitary confinement – screened at the White House in 2016 as well as being chosen as one of 10 emerging European screenwriters to speak at “Only Writers in the Building” at Berlinale 2023.
